The general process of Supervision involves a range of activities which have been mentioned below:

  1. Selection of area/ facility.
  2. Prior communication to the State/ District/ Block Programme managers as well as concerned Supervisory Staff (Both NTEP and GHS staff)
  3. Introductory meeting with in charge of State/ District/ Block/ Institute/ Facility
  4. Meeting with NTEP/ General Health System Staff apprising them the details of the supervisory visit.
  5. Visits as per protocol.
  6. Documenting important/ key observations in the NTEP Supervisory register with possible recommendations/ suggestions/ solutions.
  7. Preparation of Report.
  8. Debriefing with In charge & Staff & Sharing of report
  9. Action taken report from the district/ health facility
