Based on the interest of the Corporate and the needs specified by the district, the district TB office can develop and submit a proposal to the corporate. Once the proposal is accepted, the district TB office must extend support to the corporate in giving easy access to the government\u2019s TB services. Regular interaction and reviews must be undertaken by the district authorities with regard to the progress of Corporate partner\u2019s engagement. In case of transfers of funds to Government accounts by the corporate, district must ensure timely allocation of resources, utilisation of funds within the stipulated time and share activities and compliance reports with the corporate for audit purposes.<\/p>\n\n

PSU Engagement<\/strong>
\nPublic Sector Enterprises\/Undertakings (PSEs\/PSUs) have played a crucial role in building a foundation for nation building acting as catalysts in scaling up economic growth and even financing planned development of the country. Public sector companies provide employment to approximately 14 lakh people in the country. Further, as per Ministry of Corporate Affairs, total CSR spending by PSUs in 2021 was INR 4448.84 Crores with majority investment in Health sector. <\/p>\n\n

Department of Public Enterprises, every year identifies a common theme for CSR activities for the PSUs. The common theme for CSR activities by central PSUs for the financial year 2022-23 is Health and Nutrition . Thus, the above theme falls exactly in line with support in implementing TB related intervention and also nutrition support to TB affected people under Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.

An important area of engagement for PSUs and especially CPSUs is \u201cAspirational districts\u201d. Launched by the Hon\u2019ble PM in January 2018, the Aspirational Districts Programme (ADP) aims to quickly and effectively transform 112 most under-developed districts across the country. As per Office memorandum No. CSR-08\/00021\/2018-Dir (CSR) dated 10th December 2018, issued by the Department of Public Sector Undertaking, aspirational districts are to be given preference by the Central PSUs for utilisation of CSR funds. Further, the Department of Public Enterprises has also allocated specific aspirational districts to CPSUs based on their geographies of operation. <\/p>\n\n
